The Caring Community's corps of dedicated volunteers—many coming from within the senior community itself, others representing the larger community and neighboring New York University—is the heart of the organization. This talented and diverse group does everything from making friendly keep-in-touch visits to providing telephone reassurance, helping with grocery shopping, and escorting to medical appointments. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a senior on walk through Washington Square Park. Signing up is both quick and easy. There is no limit to the number of ways you can contribute—or to how much your efforts will be appreciated.
